YouTube is Taking Away Monetization on Certain Videos. Some people think YouTube Demonetization is targeting them or that YouTube is Censoring YouTubers through Demonetizing their content for not being “Advertiser Friendly”.
The reason that YouTubers are freaking out about this is that YouTube Monetization via adsense is the primary way that YouTube creators make money. But that is very dangerous.

I feel the YouTube Censorship Issue is HYPE and blown out of proportion. YouTube isn’t censoring creators by not letting the monetize videos that are not Advertiser Friendly Videos.

YouTube actually didn’t change the YouTube Ad Policy they just started informing creators via email that videos are demonetized and they have an appeal process for creators to try get YouTube monetization back on those videos.
What people need to understand is that the YouTube Ad Policy for Monetizing videos with Adsense hasn’t changed. But whenever YouTube Changes anything creator panic because they over rely on YouTube Monetization through Adsense to support themselves or their channel. YouTube monetization is not something we are “entitled to” and advertisers do deserve a say in what content their brand is associated with. They are the reason we can Monetize our YouTube videos in the first place.
More Advertiser Friendly content on YouTube means that more YouTubers will make money via Monetization because more advertisers will bring money to the platform.
