Selection Process: Selection Criteria

It is important that the human resource Department should have clearly stated selection criteria when engaging in the selection process. Engaging employees in the workplace requires openness, honesty, and feedback as well as meeting the requirements of the law, including non-discrimination.
The selection criteria ideally should be stated in a document and appended to the recruitment literature.
It is important that the human resource department be as open and as transparent as possible when engaging in the recruitment exercise.
